About The Union

The Cumberland Trail Career Firefighters is a Local of the IAFF that is the sole bargaining unit for the 21 full-time firefighters of the Cumberland Trail Fire District #4 in St. Clairsville, Ohio. The union also actively participates in fundraising events for charity through Fill-The-Boot for MDA and St. Baldrick’s Headshaving Event every year in March!

About The District

The Cumberland Trail Fire District #4 is located in St. Clairsville, Ohio. The district was formed in November of 1989 after the voters of St. Clairsville and Richland Township approved its formation. The district officially began operations in October of 1990 covering 66 square miles that include the city of St. Clairsville and Richland Township as well as parts of Wheeling Township. The district employs 1 Chief, 1 Assistant Chief, 6 Lieutenants, 15 Full-Time Fire Fighters, and 25 Part-Time Fire Fighters. The Chiefs are salaried 40-hour positions, while the Lieutenants and Full-Time Fire Fighters work a 3 platoon, 24 on, 48 off schedule. The district mans 2 stations 24 hours a day.
